The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium will host the 35th Annual Wisconsin Space Conference on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay University Union in Green Bay, WI.

The conference kicks off at 7:30 am Friday with a continental breakfast. Special guest speaker includes Lindsay Kaldon, Fission Surface Power Project Manager at NASA Glenn Research Center, who will discuss “From Earth to the Stars: Nuclear Fission  Surface Power for the Moon and Mars.” Throughout the day, attendees will hear about NASA partnerships, student research, K-12 outreach, academic and industry research, and WSGC team projects. There will be a poster and networking session, and an awards ceremony.

PLENARY SPEAKER: LINDSAY KALDON
  Lindsay Kaldon is the Fission Surface Power Project Manager at NASA’s Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to joining NASA in 2023, she served as the Technical Lead and Deputy Program Manager for the Navy’s Electromagnetic Pulse Office at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, Virginia. She has over 10 years working in the Department of Defense on unmanned intelligence aircraft for both the Navy and the Air Force. She began her professional career as an Air Force electronic warfare officer on the high-altitude U-2 and Global Hawk aircraft. Lindsay has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville, a professional certificate in Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State, where her research focused on radioisotope power and nuclear propulsion systems. She is currently a Captain in the Air Force Reserves, serving part-time within Air Force Research Laboratory’s Space Vehicles Directorate at Kirtland AFB, NM. In her spare time, she enjoys flying; she has a private pilot’s license with an instrument rating.

TO REGISTER TO PRESENT:

Presenters should complete the online WSC25_Presenter Registration form by July 16, 2025. Approximately 25 awardees will share the results of their project or program during the oral presentations. All other student participants will participate in a dynamic Poster Session where peers will highlight some of the best STEM-related research taking place on Wisconsin campuses.
