WSGC Student Spotlight: Nicholas Barmore

August 05, 2024

Congratulations to this week’s #WSGCStudentSpotlight, Nicholas Barmore! Nicholas is a recipient of the 2022-2023 WSGC Undergraduate Research Scholarship.

Nicholas Barmore is a professional ACS chemistry major at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. He has been enthralled by space from a very young age and has spent much of his time pursuing a deeper understanding of it. He has always been fascinated with space and the vastness that it brings, and his insignificance became a source of wonder that pulled him into the scientific world. When he was offered the opportunity to conduct research in aeronautics, he jumped at the chance. Since then, his research has been his number one interest, pushing his classes to the side. This does not mean that he lost his academic drive, as he retained his perfect GPA throughout the school year as well. Through Nicholas’ research, he has determined that a likely avenue for his future career lies in research. The trials of not fully knowing the final product of an experiment are exciting and fill him with curiosity that can only be quenched by discovery. His passion for learning is truly what drives him to be the best version of himself, and he cannot wait to continue his education and research.

Congratulations, Nicholas, and best of luck in your future!
